I hope that I am not stating the obvious but most recoil pad screws are concealed. The pads are made with an opening for the screws and the pad over the opening is slit to receive the screw. When the mounting screw is screwed in, the slit closes and conceals the screw. To remove the pad, push a screwdriver through the slit, engage the screw and back it out. 14" is long. Usually heavy clothes make a 13-13-1/2" more practical. Good luck

Thanks for the repl. It seems I have togrind it off for there are no screw holes. I know 14" seems long but it feels good on my CZ's and 340. Just wonder what I'll find it I grind it off would there be a place to screw on to and if not what epoxy to use? Regards martin

The product I've used for gluing on forend tips, gripcaps, and butt plates (recoil pads) is called "two ton" epoxy. Get it at wallyworld. I've used it for many years and never had a failure with it.....this is NOT "5-Minute" epoxy...that stuff sets up very fast and is much too brittle. Grind both the recoil pad and stock flat and put lots of masking tape on the stock to prevent getting epoxy on the stock. This stuff actually takes about an hour to cure.
