Roger

Are you spying on me? That looks just like the pattern I just finished on my single shot Marlin goose gun. Yea, I done it with a drimel tool.

In all seriousness people like you, with talent, make me sick. You probably want even have the decency to show us a couple of pictures of the finished rifle. That way at least I can have the same twisted thoughts about the stock maker. Cause Im sure the wood is perfect too.
Beautiful work Roger.

Very nicely done How many hours does it take? Personally, I think the "brand name" could have been a bit smaller.

This looks like an Merkel action

Cheers

Very nice indeed.
If I may ask out in the open, and feel free to reply privately instead, but how much does a quality job like this basically run? Not this one in particular but to dress a rifle in a similar vein?
Very nice indeed.
Thank you,
Frank-

Roger, I have already inflated your head enough, if I compliment you any more you won't make it out of the shop.

I think that something that nice deserves hand delivery, take it down to Paso and I'll drive the 2.5 hours over there and buy you a couple of drinks.

Thats beautifull Roger! Now I have a dumb question if I may, what is the most common procedure for combining engraving with blueing? Is the blueing usually done first? Ive not read any litrature on that point and it would seem from samplings Ive seen that there are different approaches to it..

Beautiful!! I am with Frank. Inquiring minds want to know or some such. I assume that if you have to ask, it is too much, for you, but I would like to know still. Thanks, D

Full coverage large scroll. I'd hardly call that understated

I will be getting started on the Ottmar rifle in the near future. It will be a Rose & Scroll engraving pattern (Maurice's favorite style and I s'pose mine as well). I will post the photos when it's completed.

Thanks to all for the nice compliments.

What would be a ballpark figure on price for engraving like this. I will be getting some engraving done in a year or two and was trying to get some ideas on prices for a certain amount of coverage.
