I have enjoyed this entire thread. Now I need to go do a torque check on my old 458 I bedded in a Brown precision glass stock with Devcon mixed with iron filings from a machine shop.

I wonder if I can get them loose after 40 years ?

When faced with some wood-hater who just loves to rant about the benefits of synthetic (and the woes of wood), I wait for it all to finish and tell him:

"I imagine it must be like wedding a hubot".

The trouble is, increasingly the expression on their face is one of exaltation, not rage. Sigh. It used to be SO easy to start a scrap in the shop.
