In a couple of years (it was supposed to be 2 but . . . well, you know, Africa . . .) I will be headed to S.America for some of that hot barrel dove shooting. Given the possibility of some 2 case/day shooting, I don't think that taking my Featherweight Citori 12 ga is the best move. So I am looking to a semi-auto 20 ga. Now the question: Will the lovely, trim, long-recoil Franchi tame recoil as well as its slightly chunkier gas sister? That 48AL leaves your hands in the same position as a shallow framed O/U and should handle beautifully.

My shotgun loving friends have been going down to Mex., Central Am., and S.A. for the last 4 years. They talk of shooting 20-30 BOXES of shells a day. One of them couldn't even finish his first day with his over/under. You definately want a gas operated auto down there.

BENELLI M1 or Super Black Eagle. The others brans, well to be honest, they suck. Nothing more need be said. ASS_CLOWN

This is a Sure Cycle buffer tube that I slapped on my 20 gauge Montefeltro this morning before work. To remove the factory tube you have to heat it with a propane torch or heat gun about an inch away from the receiver. That softens the factory adhesive so you can unscrew the factory tube with a 17mm wrench. This is a C-H recoil reducer that replaces the factory cap at the end of the magazine tube. I don't know if it reduces recoil, but it does smooth out my swing. This is a Cheek Eeze pad on the comb. It keeps the stock from beating your face up if you have high cheek bones. This one is on my girl friend's gun. The dust is courtesy of Owyhee County. JCN
