I'm working on a Para-Ordnance P14/45. It has an ambidexterous safety which the right side is held to the frame by means of a notch on the sear pin.

How do you take these apart?

Thanks

You may have already tried it but you could contact Para-Ordnance and see what they say:

The safety is comprised of two pieces that are joined together like a tongue and groove type joint, in a pressed fit under the grip safety. First remove the slide. Next, cock the hammer and raise the left hand safety like you would normally do and carefully pry the two apart, removing the left safety from the frame. Now, swing the right hand safety up and out of it's groove in the sear pin and remove it.

Thanks, Malm...I mean, Westpac, I got it now. Found the sear pin badly bent. Is this something I'm going to have to go to Para Ordnance to get?
