I wish you would do them fot the Remington 600/660 carbines, in .222, .308W and .350R sizes. Steel would suit me best, but, many would prefer a good alloy unit for weight reasons.

Ashley, Welcome to AR. Glad to have another source for bottom metal and hope it's as good as we expect. Now if you can only make something that puts a bit of quality to a Ruger 77, well then, you would be a miracle worker.

Here's hoping PT&G sells a ton of these and thereby force the other makers of bottom metal to reduce their very high prices.

Here's hoping Dave didn't pinch pics or ideas on this attempt. THAT would be refreshing.

You can bet your wallet, that pacific trigger guards looks and prices...DO NOT resemble the Williams stuff. Pictures to come

They very much did, when Dave hung Matt's pictures prior and you can bet your wallet on that. Worst part was,Dave said it was his.

I can tell you are bottom metal pictures do not resemble Williams product in anyway. It has been so busy today ALL 6 of our sales staff have been unable to post pictures. They will be coming, just like our bottom metal. Hope to have the pictures posted tomorrow. Our bottom metal is machined from plate and not forgings.

While I've been quite happy with Williams products, their wholesale/retail price increases, material availability and delivery times have left me wanting for another supplier. Ashley helped me out earlier this week with a 700 triggerguard and a set of gauges I'd misplaced for a rush job. I'm anxiously looking forward to receiving a set of the Winchester long, short and especially the super short pieces. If they keep it up PTG will practically be a one-stop shop for virtually everything I use on a regular basis(tooling and components).

Who made Dave hang pictures that weren't his,of goods that were not his, under the guise of them being proffered as in-house offerings?

Have to agree. I think these are slated for the painted McMillan stocks. I suppose you could use one of the $199 steel pieces on a nice wood stock but I don't know if it's slated for the extreme high dollar type. I'd say "mid range" type rifles and there's a big market there. "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading".

We will be offering bottom metal with both the latches . I have to offer them with both because of the demand for the standard type is great. I will make any positive changes to the parts needed I just need all your imput and help . If something needs to be changed to better the parts then I better start on the next batch. Let me know Thanks Dave

Upgrading over the issued potmetal,is a step in a very right direction, though for a killing rifle I want a S/S ADL TG.

It seems very odd to me that with all the hype about the orbendorf latch we have taken orders for standard latch parts over the orbendorf 3 to 1 for Remington rifles . The detachable mag style are selling so fast for Kevin Wyatt we cant even stock any. I think the aluminum and stainless orbendorf are selling well in the Winchester line. I could not ask for a better response Thanks for all the help everone has given us .

Doesn't seem too odd.......depends on the crowd. If your Mauser and Winchester catches on here the trend will go the other way. ______________________ Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

That's because a Remington ain't fit for custom bottom metal. You guys need to invest in a eight cavity injection mold and mold that Remy bottom "metal" out of recycled soda bottles Reduce part cost down to $19.99 but wait if you order now we'll double the order Seriously I'd never try to build a nice custom on a Remy action. From my upbringing it's just not right with the world. Now a custom tactical, or plastic stocked hunter sure. www.KLStottlemyer.com Deport the Homeless and Give the Illegals citizenship. Ashley, Dave, Welcome to the snake pit. I have been well pleased by the reamers and gauges that I have ordered from PT&G. Many rifles sold these days have plastic stocks and stainless barrels. Nice bottom metal for the basic offerings by Ruger, Remington and Winchester is a different niche than what Sunny Hill, Blackburn, Duane and D'Arcy make for the higher end custom trade. With Boeing stepping on its crank over these bazillion dollar contracts left and right, a Northwestern shop with suddenly excess CNC capacity better find some new stuff to make. I have used Williams products, PT&G products, and very much look forward to getting some bottom metal from Duane as time goes on.

AMEN! 2 observations here: IMO it's kinda 'special'(VBG, like lipstick on a pig) to pay more for the bottom metal than for the receiver, I personally would put the extra money into a better receiver in the beginning. The more competition there is in any market, the better it is for the consumer. I have also found it just a bit odd that quality bottom metal often costs nearly the same as an action from MRC which comes with decent bottom metal and usually costs more than the donor rifle I harvest my actions from. ______________________ Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

Remember they wouldn't price it that high if they couldn't get that much for it. Some body and at least more then a few are droping that kind of cash on Bottom metal. www.KLStottlemyer.com Deport the Homeless and Give the Illegals citizenship. AT LEAST THE ILLEGALS WILL WORK

I recently paid $500 for the Fisher bottom metal from Blackburn. The trigger guard was still rough. I mentioned that here and got all kinds of smart assed comments. I pay it because the options are limited not because I think it's fairly priced. ______________________ Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

Yeah, but that may change soon, at least to some degree. Please see my comment above/below. "The more competition there is in any market, the better it is for the consumer." We'll see. I do understand that there are some folks who judge desirability by the price tag, regardless of comparative quality. One of My Bride's stupider girl friends is this way, she makes SURE that all her friends know just exactly HOW SPECIAL she is, by showing off her purchase's price tag and store name. Even though she could have gotten the same thing a little cheaper somewhere else! Go figure... Regards, Joe __________________________ You can lead a human to logic but you can't make him think. I tried to buy a floor plate from MRC and they said they would not sell individial parts. My client lost his on the way to the engraver.
