I have my Rem 700 PSS set at about 18 oz. It seems safe off the bench. But I'm not sure about using that sort of adjustment for carrying around in the woods.

Remington warns against adjusting the trigger. Seems that sometimes the springs work at the lighter pulls, sometimes they don't.

Jewell and Shilen make nice replacements. I'm tossing out the idea of a Jewell replacement that adjusts to about 1.5 oz.
