Gentlemens:

While at the Guild show I purchased a couple pieces of wood from Clay at Luxus Walnut. One was a very unusual piece of fine grained honey colored Turkish, a blank which sole purpose in life was to be the stock for the British Stalking rifle I intend to build. I mean, we are talking Devine Intervention here.

Unfortunately, it was an orphan without a forearm blank. I might have been able to get a splinter forearm out of the blank, but that wouldn't do for the stalking rifle. Clay assured me that he could find a forearm blank to match, and would send it to me.

I did receive and rejected a couple blanks, and Clay never once complained of my whining. Ultimately I sent the blank back to them to have in hand when trying to match it.

Well, it took a few months but I received a post from Clay saying they had found the match and were sending them to me. I was stunned when I opened the box. The match was Perfect!

My thanks to Clay and Luxus. It would have been far easier and cheaper for them to return my money or offer another blank, but they went the extra distance because I wanted this blank. I can't see how you could go wrong dealing with this company.

Respectfully,

Glenn Fewless

That is a very nice blank you have there. Clay is a great guy and has good prices on his wood. With his wood and your metal working skills, that is a winning combination. Can't wait to see your finished product!

That's a very nice blank Glenn. It should make a beautiful rifle stock.

I've also purchased a few blanks from Luxus and have nothing but good things to say about them. Their service, as Glenn points out, is top notch.

I don't buy many two-piece blanks but I found these two at Luxus and bought them to stock a pair of Browning Superposed shotguns. First in line is a twelve gauge that is in the works now. Next up is a twenty gauge to match.

As a reminder, Clay and the other guys at Luxus have been big supporters of our Searcy Memorial Scholarship rifle project. I like to support those who help out our cause. Give Luxus a chance to earn your business.

There are some new things happening at luxus. We will be marketing the Luxusgrade Cooper and Searcy rifles from our web site. The Cooper page is up now where orders can be placed. The Searcy page will be up soon. We will be posting updated information about the programs .
