hello, I am looking for some advice on two different rifle companies. I would like to get a custom rifle DGR and I do not know anything about either one of these companies, but like the options that they have so if anyone knows anything about either one of these companies whether it's good or bad or which one would be better please let me know one of the companies is called AHR, American hunting rifles INC. the other company is called Hill country rifles, H. C. R. anyone knows anything let me know thank you, Kevin

My vote is for AHR. A friend of mine had a guy show up at his place to shoot bison with one. The guy left an empty case with my friend and if I remember correctly he said it was a 500 AHR. Anyway, the rifle impressed my friend alot. He said the bison, which was shot in the head from the front, was literally knocked on is ass. The rifle was said to be beautiful and well made. Again this is all second hand but my friend is a big Weatherby fan so if he was impressed it must have been nice.

Hello Kevin

I dunno. The Jolly Roger in New Milford has a knowledgeable owner, and Mitchell Shultz in Fairfield seems to be a pretty good smith. I'd ask one of them for an opinion while I was looking around...
