quarterboreAfter market trigger spring for Ruger M77 Mark II
Where can I find an lighter/after market trigger spring for a Ruger M77 Mark II. I know that I have gotten them from Brownells before, but I can't seem to find any in the catalog.
Thanks

I've done a number of those Ruger triggers by measuring the spring wire thickness of the factory spring, then cutting a replacement spring from a spring with %20 thinner wire. I buy bulk springs from Brownell's, then slect a spring with the wire thickness I want to use, and cut it to length.
Another option is to grind wire stock off the outside of the factory spring using a belt grinder with the spring angled upwards at a 45 degree angle. I put the spring on a punch with a shoulder to keep the spring from flying off.

ole_270The local hardware store has a selection that includes one that works well. It will need cut to length, but for less than a dollar it beats paying shipping.
