I need some help with a scope base. I have a savage 210f slug gun. Lots of recoil and I am about to order third cheap piece of crap aluminum base from savage. No one makes a one piece base for this gun other than savage. The gun does not eject very well with a non factory base. The base is designed to bounce the shells free of the action. Anyways here is my ? Is it possible to take may aluminum base and have it duplicated in steel? I would think it would be pretty straight forward as you have an exact template. I don't have a competent smith in my area to ask and I cannot find a machinist willing to make just one of something. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. | ||
