I have a Rossi Model 92 stainless steel lever action carbine in 44 Magnum. I also have stainless steel Rossi 92 45 Colt barrel, magazine tube assembly, and lever. How difficult or costly to convert the 44 Magnum to 45 Colt?

At one time didn't they use the same bolt/bolt face for the 44 and 45?

I would think a whole slew of internal parts would be different for the 45 Cal. Cartridge guides, stops, carrier, bolt, extractor, mag tube and follower just off the top of my head.

After thinking about it I remember it was Marlins I was thinking about. I looked at my 44 Mag Marlin and it is stamped 44/45 and the last time I had the bolt out of my 45 Colt Marlin it was stamped the same. So I'm not sure about my Rossi's.
