What are the differences between the Anschutz 54 and 64 ?

Anschutz actually makes 2 versions of the 54 action. The 54 they use on their sporter rifles is based on the older match rifle action. A great action. The 54 Super Match is what they build their target guns on. They also have the 2000 series action that is a different animal. The 54 SM is an amazing action. My 54.18 MS and 1913 position rifle have the 54 SM action and there is not another action that compares in quality or accuracy.

The 64 is their low end action. It is good quality but has a much slower lock time and is not near as pretty or precise as the 54.
