Check the ACGG website, there's a number of them on there that do it.

Follow Jim's advise. Knowledge and Experience count. Many others can do the job. Bluing and polishing are twi of the dkills that make or break the entire project.

Sorry for the misspelled words. Typing is NOT one of the skills that make or break the project.

Make sure they are good with SXSs. Caustic blue can do a number on the old solder.

While I'm quite proud of the metal work we do in my shop, rust blue included, my recommendation for the BEST rust blue in our country would be Pete Mazur.

Hi,

Might check with Arron Little. Seems he advertised rust bluing on this forum a bit ago. I believe he is connected with Stuart Satterlee, though I could be wrong.

Luck,

Stephen

You might check with Ford's over in Crystal River. They do some serious blueing on rifles and pistols. I'spect they could do a nice job on a double. For sure they would tell you if they can't or don't.
Their Royal Blue finish is as good as the old time Colt Royal... And they will tell you that it is not as "hard" as a regular blue finish. But it shore is purty.

Should have mentioned they did the Royal finish on an old Colt 32-20 OP for me. They don't over-polish the OEM's marking either.
