I am ordering a Weatherby Vanguard MOA in .308, and I see that Weatherby custom shop offers upgrade services.

I'm thinking of different options re stocks.

My questions are:
Just how good are the Weatherby fiberglass stocks compared to the McMillan stock made for the Vanguard?

Comparing the composite stocks offered by Weatherby, one has a "CNC machined aluminum bedding plate". I'm wondering if this is something worth the additional $100 or so, compared to the standard pillar bedded version?
