Which first -- glass bed or finish?

I'm approaching the end of the inletting on a Mauser stock.

It's going to have to be glass-bedded.

Sources say I should soak the inletting and barrel channel with stock finish once I'm done -- should I do this before or after I stuff the Acraglas gel in the recoil lug?

You want a clean surface with no oil or finish for a good bond, so bed first.
