OK, I am trying to build my first custom rifle and need help from the gunsmith or someone who knows. This is going to be a rifle based on Remington 700 BDL DM action in .270Win - long action. I want to order a new 26" barrel in light weight varmint contour where weight of a barrel is 4.0lbs, diameter at the muzzle 0.700 and where the "A" dimension is 1.200. I want to buy H-S stock from Cabelas for Remington 700 BDL LA Varmint. Will that fit the barrel and would I be able or gunsmith to instal Remington detachable magazine? Also I want to install Rifle Basix trigger 1.5-3lbs. Thanks for comments Pete

Peterpan I have my doubts that the stock in Cabela's is the right one, Look in Midways catolog or online, they have a huge selection of stocks and I'm sure you'll find the right one. Look for a stock with the DM option then find one that closely matches your barrels contour and plan on fitting the barrel conour after you get it. The trigger should work well however I have no first hand experience with this particular trigger.

Actually yes it should. The barrel end diameter for the Sendaro barrels is .8something Yours is .700 Should be fine. I don't know where your getting a barrel but you could just specify "sendaro contour" and they will make it work. Then when you call HS Precision or Cabelas tell them you want a replacement stock for a 700 Senaro. McMillan will also do a replacement stock for the Sendaro. Glass bed, blue or teflon coating and your ready to rock!

HS Precision makes a detachable magazine assembly for their pro series 2000 stocks that works great.

D99 I looked in Cabela's and saw no reference to an HS stock for a Remington with a Detachable Magazine, hence the answer I posted to Peter Pan I believe is correct.

Cabelas, doesn't stock it but HS Precison will let you order one that way.
