Can someone loan me a 1 1/16 x 16 tap to use for 30 seconds? Yes I know you can buy them and rent them.

Not funny at all.
I got a stripped 721 receiver from an estate, that had a thread galled a bit, inside, half way down, and I wanted to clean it out before installing a barrel.
Which I did.
If you must know.

Absolutely, and I have done it; but that takes time I don't have, for the set up, to cut just a tiny bit of metal.
Not rocket surgery either. But the set up takes 100 times more time than the cutting. Tap took zero set up time and half a minute process time.
