Martini Cadet action strength

I have a rifle on a Martini Cadet action in a "long 357" - 357 Maximum shortened to 1.417" , similar to the new 360 Dan Wesson. I load a 158gr JSP to 1850fps, a 125gr XTP to 2250fps.

My question is, do you think these actions could stand a constant diet of such loads? What calibres have you seen in the small Cadet actions?

Thanks

The little Cadet is said to be good for anything you can reasonably get to feed. Although, in the "short-fat" catagory, you'd have to be somewhat circumspect about the smallish barrel shank. I wouldn't make one in .44mag, for instance. (Although I have heard of them in .44Mag-it just exceeds my personal safety level) I have one in .17 Ackely Bee, am building one in .357Max.

Leras---

THe little Martinis will handle a steady diet of 55K psi triple dueces. Check with Bob Snapp of Clare, MI. He's the martini guru.

Pedestal has it right---you're limited by the diameter of the case and the length.

When they were the rage in Australia, a lot of them were chambered in 219 Zipper Improved. In fact by first centerfire was a 218 Improved Bee on the Martini and that was then rechambered to 219 Zipper Improved. About 1964 or so when I was 16.

I loaded my Zipper too hot and expanded the chamber. Although the loads I tried would have been hotter than 225 factory ammo.

Thank you all for the feedback, it seems I have a good margin of safety.
