Vintage sling stud and front site
Does anyone know where I could get a vintage barrel sling stud and Vintage front sight? I am referring to the studs with the big hole that are found on the the older H&H and Rigbys etc. they were for the hook type or leather thong sling. Also looking for an H&H or Rigby vintage front sight.

I have found that trying to retrofit these kind of parts to be more trouble than it is worth due to the varying barrel contours that were used, I just make them from bar stock.

NECG sell new stuff but it sticks out like a sore thumb on a vintage rifle. I have bought lots of old parts for guns at auctions and on Ebay.

agreed, the new tuff sticks out -- if you have a worn out tumbler bowl, you can use pea gravel in it to simulate surface wear -- breaks the corners and rounds the edges

For all parts rare, one must go to Germany, find a gunsmith who has his shop in a closet in his house and is plus 70 years old..He can make a perfect ball out of an anvil with a #2 Bastard file.

Here are some front ramps that are similar:

The barrel sling stud could be made from '94 - '98 rear swivel base by welding up the screw holes and sweating to the barrel.

Replacement front ramp, not original. Most front ramps on Rigby rifles were sleeved on.
