It sounds interesting; more oomph than a 9.3x64 with more easily obtainable brass.

Of course, you could always just get a .375H&H like the rest of us. [Big Grin]

I picked up an Enfield P17 in 9.3 x 300 Win Mag some years back, it was a pretty neat toy, but those short necks were something to watch out for seating bullets. I ended up trading it for a Scout rifle (sometimes I have mental breakdowns, and submit to un-natural gun lusts caused by reading too many gun rags). - Dan

Dave James,
Harald Wolf has been working to revive a classic cartridge that he has written about on his site www.hataritimes.com the 9.3x70. The rifle was offered for sale on hisw site for a very small sum considering the maker's genius and you can read about it there.
Good shooting.

Gentlemen

It would be even more mind blowing to build a 9,3-404 in a simular configuration as our dear hosts 375-404. I guess the 320 grain FMJ would penetrate all day long in the biggest buff [Big Grin]

The only problem with that is that you are on your own in terms of load data.

Dave,
If you do buy the gun, do let us know how it shoots! You might be instrumental in reviving the caliber if you do. Even if you don't, I hope the info was useful.
Good shooting,
