Mid-Way used to sell pre-chambered and threaded bbls for Savage rifles at a reasonable price but can't find them now. I messed up the bbl on my Savage 200 and I think I'm going to need a bbl.

They are A&B barrels, but go to the website and do a search on savage barrel. Some person has shilens on ebay for $260 but that is more then your whole rifle.

I didn't know that douglas supplied the savage chambered screw on barrels. Maybe for the next one I'll follow your lead. What price tag is attached? thumbroger

www.savageshooters.net has step by step directions with pictures, on how to do the barrel swap, adjust headspacing, etc.
