I'VE JUST ACQUIRED A 1937 MODEL 70..IT HAS A GIANT ZEISS ZIELACHT SCOPE IN CLAW MOUNTS..THE FRONT MOUNT COVERS THE CALIBER DESIGNATION ON THE BARREL..THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL IS MARKED 1906 AND 37.. I BELIEVE THIS IS PROPER FOR THE .30-06 CARTRIDGE..AND RIFLE DATE OF 1937.. WOULD APPRECIATE ANY THOUGHTS REGARDING THIS..THANKS, JOHN | ||
