How can I see the difference between a smallring and a largering Mauser?

When you say "standard Mauseraction" do you folks meen a large ring mauser?

Maybe a beginners question... but I am a novice.....

On a small ring action the receiver dia is 1 1/4", a large ring measures 1 3/8". "Standard" 98 actions are large ring.

Yes, the standard is the Large Ring 98.

This is a large ring. The front ring is wider that the sides of the receiver.

This is a small ring. The front ring is flush with the sides of the receiver.
