Can someone tell me who made this safety? This is the only pic I have.

hellerlrI do believe that's a Gentry. It looks exactly like my two Dakotas but they come in the white.

It sure looks like one of the ones being made by Ed Lapour, except that his don't have the flat on the left/top.
Ed bought the PME safety rights from Jim Wisner. Maybe it is an original PME?

J WisnerIf it has a screw under the lever to hold the lever in place, then it is an Legacy.
I only handled one of them and it was a direct copy of mine, but with a cross screw rather than a pin.

Whats that old saying about Imitation ?
I once handled one of the Johanson Magnum Mauser rifles when NECG first started bringing them into the USA. It was a whole 10 minutes before I realised that that was NOT my safety on the rifle. He had changed two minor raduis cuts on the lever arm so he could tell the differnece between his and mine. I asked Mr. Johanson at the ACGG show that same weekend about that, of course he skirted it and would not talk about it, as it would bring up lawyer issues. I never pressed it as shortly later all the other Imitations of my safety started poping up.
