Does anyone know where I can get in touch with
Wesley Harris, who use to manafacture this rifle.
I had one, and still have a fiberglass stock that
will only fit this action. I have called several
gunsmiths, and no one knows anything about Harris
or the tallon action. If anyone has any info I would appreaciate it.
Thanks
George

I have also been looking for Wesley Harris, but haven't found him. I got hold of a fellow in Arizona who used to work for Harris gunworks. Harris gunworks is not in operation any more as far as I know. Wess can't have anything to do with firearms any more. This fact were given by two former employee's of Harris gun works. I have gotten comfirmation by other in the business that the fact were true.

I have seen an add in Rifle magazine or Handloader magazine one or two years ago for Harris barrel works. What is your need? parts or repair? I have been told that eveything were sold out and scattered across USA. I think the stocks were made by rimrock stocks or brown for the Talon action. McMillans and Wess can't be in the same room at the same time.

PM me if you want more info...

Thank you for the reply. I have heard some of the
same things that you mentioned. I was trying to
locate an action with a drop magazine to fit my stock. You see, I had one and Wesley and I had
a problem and I sent the barrled action back.
My mistake. I was hoping I might find one laying around and maybe cheap. I guess it is a lost cause.

I read gunlist for sometimes. I have seen actions and rifles for sale. The price has not been that much. I know of one that has been for sale in Sweden. The price was 700 $ for the complete rifle. Don't give up, soon you will find one!

I had two Harris rifle's before and both were with drop magazine. The actions were not soo nice compared to the old Gale Mcmillan rifles in my opinion.

Cheers

George....I would contact Dick Davis at McMillan and talk to him. Dick has worked for McMillan for a long time and as McMillan made the Talon action he should be able to answer your questions if anyone can.

I suspect he is at the SHOT Show now and probably won't be back until mid-week.

Do you have any telephone numbers for Davis. I am at my daughters home in Dallas and do not have any way to dig up this info.
Thanks, George

George,

Dick Davis is a production manager for McMillan Fiberglass Stocks so I think you will have to call McMillan to find him unless somebody knows his home phone number. Here is the link for McMillan's website.

I think when Dick left Lazzeroni and went back to McMillan they made him "the" production manager.
