I took my new Wind Mdl 70 Safari Express 375 H&H to my local gunsmith and asked him to slick up the action and adjust the trigger. I stopped by today and he told me that he had pollished the lugs. He also said he "lightened up" the ejector spring. He explained that the factory spring put about 30 lbs of pressure on the bolt, and that by lessening the pressure, the bolt would opeaerate more smoothly. Is this going to cause a problem? I agree with Bill and Jim on this one. Your smith sold you a bill of goods. The ejector spring is the size of a spring from a ball point pin. I just checked the ejector in my factory m70. I lifted it with the top tip of my little finger. Used my trigger pull guage and the same pressure was about 1# or less. As usual just my $.02 Paul K | |||
