NON CHAMBERING ROUND

Hi,
I have a CZ .22 Hornet model 627 with a detachable 5 round magazine. My problem is that the third round does not rise up to be chambered by the bolt. First and second rounds are fine. Fourth and fifth round chmaber OK.
I have only ever used Sellior & Bellot ammunition but doubt that this has anything to do with the re-occuring problem.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Springbok,
Once had the same problem with a .45 ACP mag. Found the cause to be a small dent in the side of the magazine. Only caused problems when the magazine follower was passing the dent. I hope this is of some help. Good luck. [Smile]

Big Bob's theory sounds plausible. There should be no difference in the 3 round, other than the position of the follower. Besides a dent, there could be some internal snag or rough spot hindering the spring or follower. I'm not familiar with the CZ magazine, but you may have to take it apart, if possible.

Springbok--

So, what's holding it up??

It sounds like you're loading the third rim behind the fourth and making it snag on feeding???

I never load over three rounds in mine......I had one magazine that was too narrow but I expanded it... I think it got hung up in the seat adjuster of my truck...... I now have half a dozen extras and all work well.

Take the magazine apart and look at it......the solution is before you and I can't see it. [Smile]
