A guy I know asked this, and being left-handed with no experience with my own Pre-64's I had no clue, I figure some of you might know though: I'm trying to confirm barrel contour dimensions for a pre-'64 Winchester Model 70 bull gun (heavy bull barrel) chambered in .300 H&H Magnum. The numbers I've been able to dig up so far are: - 28" OAL - 1.25" at receiver for 2", then straight taper to 0.875" at the muzzle (some sources list the muzzle at 0.845", but I suspect this is for smaller caliber models) Thanks for any information, Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally.
