Hi Folks,
I discovered my safety is broken.Win will not sell me one directly. They want me to send them the rifle. I told the idiots that I just put a new barrel on it and have not test fired it. Any solutions or help appreciated

What exactly is inoperable with your safety? Is it broken as in parts are visible broke? Or is it not operating or engaging properly as designed?

If it just not engagind properly a smith who is familiar with the proper operation of the M70 safety would be able to fix it. If the lever is not moving it may be as simple as the cocking piece is not being drawn back far enough when it engages the sear. Or there may be an internal burr interfering with it operation.

If you do need a new one Ed Lapour makes nice M70 safeties. I'd be just a bit suspicious of sending any gun to USRAC right now.
