kacoleruger vaquero
i have a ruger new vaquero that i want a trigger and action job done on. i really don't know anybody that live near me that does that kind of thing. i looked on the internet and bob munden was the first to come to mind. he is the fastest and they claim he is a great gunsmith. for $290 he will do a action job, triger job, and get the timing on the gun. he will also force the cone and sight the gun in with a barrel vice since it has fixed sights. all for $290 is this a bad price? does anybody have any experience with bob mundens work? i don't want just anybody working on my guns but he seems creditable.

ColoradoMattBob Munden has a good reputation, and that is a very good price. The new model actions are a pain in the but, and you wouldn't want just anyone messing with your gun.

congomikeTry this guy. He does fantastic work and has a very reasonable turn around time.
http://www.bozemantrailarms.com/As for the "poorboy" action job, with all due respect to Jeff Quinn, that is a really not a good way to get a good trigger pull.

J BennettAfter watching Munden do a trigger job on one of the shooting shows he could not pay me to do a trigger job on one of my guns.
Hammer hooks were cut free hand with a bench grinder. Hand and bolt were cut with a dremel tool. When the hammer screw was to tight he used a round file on the hammer and opened it up. Never for me.
