A friend has boxed himself in by insisting on using a Mauser and B-Square rings for his Mauser .264 Win Mag 1000 yard rifle. I wanted to install his new Nightforce scope (30 m.m. body diameter) on a generic windage base using Burris Signature rings. Or Signature "Z" rings on steel Weaver type bases.
Can anybody point me toward a Mauser base with 15 to 20 m.o.a. built into it? Thanks, Jay

Hello Jay,

I wouldn't worry about it. Nightforce scopes have a tremendous amount of elevation adjustment available, so getting a zero at 1000 yards should be no problem without messing with offset bases/rings.

However, Burris does make offset inserts/rings for 30mm tubes now, so if you really want to cant that scope, I would find some Weaver style steel bases and use Burris part #420585 rings:

Good shootin'

Jay,

Ken Farrell makes a bombproof one piece mount with choices of up to 20 minutes of elevation pre-machined into the base. Very heavy duty, I bought one for my project.www.kenfarrell.com
