Yup, and shortly after we brought it up on one of these forums. He must be hanging out in one of these closets. As usual, he showed up without calling (I told him the last time to make sure he called first)and just walked in the front door. Now this may be OK in some shops, but in mine you have to walk into the house and them the shop. There is something about someone violating your personal space. I met him as he was entering the shop, grabbed his barreled action off the hook, handed it to him and said goodbye. He had a barreled action, minus bottom metal, in hand and told me I had wanted to buy it. I said goodbye and escorted him out the door.

I think that you handled it too nicely. I don't know the story though. Butch

I don't know the full story either and don't need to. A guy has got to learn to respect another man's personal space, especially his home. It is better to turn his business away than deal with someone who shows you no respect.

If the barreled action was in his hand and not wrapped around his neck it is evidence that you showed immense restraint. Good for you Jim. sofa

Yeah,

I would probably have put a kazoo in his mouth and the barreled action up his ass; then marched him out to his car making him play "Yankee Doodle Dandy" the whole way.

You are too kind, Jim.

Jim,
He let himself into your house and then proceeded to walk through the house and into your shop?????? And you did not insert the barreled action up his fundamental orifice? I think you showed remarkable restraint. How unlike you. Big Grin

Reminds me of some of my past customers.

I am open to the public in the afternoons but closed in the mornings so I can work with out interruptions.

With the door locked, closed sign up, hours posted they will still bang on the door, call the shop on their cell phone, and even go around to the back door and beat on it. I usually ignore them but if they are persistant I look out the peep hole and if I recognize them they get on my "black list". The ones I will never accept work from again.

People can not disrespect you if you do not allow them to.

Jim, the rumor I got, is he sorta likes ya! clap I even heard from the same fellow that ol' blue hung out around your table at the gun show. mgun lol
I have to say, I think you handled this better than most of us would have. ol'blue is just that type of dumb SOB, that would see nothing wrong with just walking into your home and if ya made a fuss or put a hand on him, I can just see the lawsuit coming.
Can't say I miss him here jump

I was wondering when "Mr Rabble-Rouser" was going to chime in. Incidentally in his defense, he did send a letter of apology shortly after I hung up on his next morning phone call.
