It was posted elsewhere that Timney had replacement triggers for a Rem model 788 ready. Not true according to Kim at Timney. BUT they should be ready to go in a couple of weeks. I was quoted $95.00 per each. Unless you wanted to send in a FFL and order thru the mail. Then you could get a dealers price. ANOTHER BUT, she said the orders would be filled to individuals first before the "bulk" orders would go out to dealers. Anyway, I ordered mine at full retail. You know, in the American tradition I've been struggling along for years with the stock trigger on my 788's but I've got to have the new one RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

I E-mailed Timney and Debbie replied stating that the hold up is the safety. Everything else is ready. Also, the adjustable weight will be from 1.5-4 lbs.

Just my ignorance here, but does replacing the trigger on a 788 require any gunsmithing or is it pop the old one out, pop the new one in?
