D HumbargerBRNO 602
What is a BRNO 602 in the white worth? I know about the ass backward safety issue.

Alberta CanuckWith or without integral pop-up rear bridge peep?
I had a customer bring in a 375H&H doner rifle last year for a custom 416 Rigby projet. He paid $400 for it. I thought that was a good deal.

jeffeossoa used 550 magnum complete rifle brings 700... with stock and barrel, correct safety, better machining, and a nicer bottom metal....
i MY opinion, 400 is top dollar, 300 would be better
but, i don't like the 602 without a popup.. not that I am all THAT hung up on the popup, however, it was a high water mark... once the 602 stoped coming with them, the machining ALSO went south

Alberta CanuckDoug-
Jeffe makes a good point. In 1969-73, Brno 602s were nicely machined and nicely finished actions (with the pop-up peep as a "bonus" too).
In about 1973 several things changed...the peep disappeared, a fellow in Montana got interested in importing them, and workmanship became rather crude. They started to look like an unfinished casting that still needed a lot of work...at least to my eyes.
For one of the pre-'73 actions, with both triggers, I'd give about $450 or maybe even $500 without feeling too much pain. I won't even buy one of the later ones. (I probably would if they were $200 or $250, but they aren't, so I won't.)
Not trying to rain on your parade, but for the lack of finishing touches on the later actions, I feel you are much better off to buy a whole, complete, current CZ rifle for just a tiny bit more money.

D HumbargerThanks for your knowledge guys. The reason that I ask is that a friend of mine just bought one of the later models at a local gun show for for $350.00 with the intent of re saling it. Dosn't lok like he will have much wiggle room from what you guys posted.
I have one brno 602 made at 1985 and wonder if the barrel thread will fit the newer cz 550 models ? are cz 550 and 602 brno have same thread dimension?.
