rebarrel .243 Sako Forester L579 action to 338 Federal / Why not??
I have my eye on a well used 243 Sako Forrester L579 action with a pitted barrel. I would like to have a new barrel in 338 federal put on it. Are there any issues with this build? On the surface it is a neat project. Has anyone used this action for a custom build?

I just did the same conversion on a Rem 600. Everything came together perfectly with no feeding issues FWIW...

There shouldn't be any glitches. The only thing you might have a problem with is feeding because of the larger neck and bullet but, that's doubtful.
