I am in need of a steel follower for a left hand M70 that I picked up when I heard Winchester M70s would be no more. My rifle is a 300 win mag that I will be converting to a big bore (Most likely 416 rem mag) so I will need to change the follower. Winchester only has the "graphite" followers in stock. I prefer steel for this project. Does anyone know a source for this?

I already tried them. They do not have the follower or box. JUst the spring.

How hard would it be to have one made?

My 416 is currently using a modified Remington follower. It had to be shortened, the top "rib" removed and the back of it beveled.

Isn't original Winchester, but it isn't aluminum like the factory part.

I have heard of using a modified Mauser piece also.
