460wbySingle stack, detachable magazine for a '98.
Hey.
I know that I have asked this question before but could'nt find back to that tread. In that tread, one guy told me that he needed a couple of mounth on that one. Then he maybe could show me something.
The thing I'm looking for is a way to make a box-magazine fit into the existing magazine on a Mauser M98, making it a single stack magazine ready to take some large fat ones.(Rigby, Lapua, Wby-size diameter.) I know i cant make the length to take these rounds, but theu can be shortened!

Has anybody done this yet?
I think this wil solve a lot of feeding-problems, even with the 500 Jef.

There is a gibbs (i think) detachable mag that fits into the floorplate connections on mil-98s. these go on ebay about 3 times a month.
You might have to alter the lips to feed single, or just load it with chubby rounds to make it just be a singlestack, but loads from one side or the other.
I built a singlestack for my 550 express, as the 460 wby cases are just too wide to stagger feed and load correctly.
Look at a 45 acp singlestack mag to get a near perfect understanding of HOW it should be done.

Do they handle fat and shubby rounds?
Could you link me to it, I wasn't able to find it on their web-site.
I have a lot of wildcatting to do on 338 Lapua cases!
