Just wondering if anyone has any information about a gunsmith K.E. Smith from Lakeside, CA? I have a rifle with his name on the barrel. Stock work is excellent, but I have no way of knowing if he did the stock or just the barrel. He is listed up till 1970 in the gunsmith directory in the back of the Gun Digest, but that is the only thing I can find on him. The rifle in question is a Rem 37 done up in a target type stock, but the workmanship is way better than what you would expect from a target rifle builder. Checkering is a rather coarse 20 or so LPI, but is executed as good as any I have seen. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, John | ||
