Typical Mauser 98's are good actions, but there are a lot of variables. You should post more details about it.

Well Ted, awfully difficult to determine worth or value based on only the one photo above.
I usually buy basic rifles like that one for up to $350 if I plan to resell it for a $50 profit quickly. If the rifle was unique or had bases and rings selling it for more might be in order.
If you picked it up cheaply enough you might turn a profit.
Does it shoot? Another factor.
Does the safety work with the scope on it?
Do you also have the original sights?
What scope is that? Weaver?
How is the bore? How about the recoil pad?
How badly do you want to sell it?
