To those of you who have found/used these files, what shapes are you finding most useful? One shop here in Atlanta carries a 10" flat tapered file. Are there others that you like?

I've heard they remove wood stock quickly and leave a much smoother surface than rasps.

TIA,
Brian

They leave a surface much like a plane. My big magicut file is probably 15" long. I have a number of them. The others I have are vixen files and they give the same results.

I only have one, a half-round about 15" long. I intend to get a flat one, as even the flat side of this one is not real true. Great tools though.
