I've seen a left hand Mauser model 2000 in 270 Win advertised for sale. This is not the classic mod. 98 but a more modern production rifle. I know nothing of this model. I haven't seen it, but was told it has an alloy trigger guard/floor plate.
Any information would be appreciated - features, opinions, production dates, etc - any info appreciated.
Thanks,

Push feed, welded on recoil lug, probably Krup barrel not a bad rifle to use as is.

To the best of my memory, the Mauser 2000 and 3000 were pushfeeds that were built by F.W. Heym. When the contract expired, Heym continued the line under their own name, calling them the SR20 and 21 series.

I've handled a couple of the right hand models
not a bad rifle, pretty smooth action, prices
werent to high on the ones I encountered. I believe they were made for a short time in the
70s. I also believe they made a Model 3000 for
small cartridges but I may be wrong.
