Gunsmithing Rifles by Patrick Sweeney is a good one. It is a very detail oriented book with lots of close up photos. I also have a couple others but this one is better the others in my book collection. I bought my copy from MidwayUSA. Good luck. | |||

An old book that has been reprinted is "Gunsmithing" by a guy named Dunlap. It's pretty good, and gives fairly detailed descriptions of a number of gunsmithing tasks, along with cartridge profiles (including some odd wildcats you'll never hear of elsewhere) and photos / descriptions of some rifles made by the old masters of '40s and '50s.
