Ditto what Glen71 said. Keep showing us those shameless plugs Big Grin I for one really enjoy seeing how someone does something and the finished results of talented labor/artistry. I like the islands for the sling swivels. Have seen it before, but these pictures really show how nice they can be.

Immaculate. It looks simply fantastic, so much character and soul in the wood. Coupled with the .325 WSM, it would make an excellent rifle for all North American big game. An excellent fusion of form and function.

Jim, did you have to do much work on the MRC action or was it pretty "right" from the factory? (Lug contact, square face, etc., etc.) My gunsmith was not too impressed with the first MRC he worked on, but liked mine quite a bit. Was this a recent MRC action or one of the first produced?

Very nice rifle, BTW...

It was one of the earilier ones and I made sure it fed correctly.

And.. to the guy that asked, yes, I did all the work except the action and barrel, however I did fit them together.

Thanks for the accolades.

Nice work!
Just goes to show, you don't need a $3000 blank to build a very nice rifle. Great layout, like this blank is worth more to me than the the highest $ blank with poor grain flow.

Nice rifle! Hope the owner uses it. Not just for petting.

I also love the wood. I appreciate the figure in the grain more than contrast in the color of the wood personally. It is why I selected the blank I have for my custom.

Nice job too Jim.

Jim,

Your craftmanship on the 325 WSM demonstrates the continuing excellence and quality you put into each project. I consider myself fortunate to own two rifles that you built for me. They are exquisite and functional, and will help create lasting memories in the field.
