I am new to the target and varmint shooting. I just got a Rem 700 243 heavy barrell. Im looking at a Choate Varmint Stock to replace the original stock. will I need to get the new stock Glass Bedded Following and duplicating a successful persons actions is worth ten thousand hard headed mistakes | ||

Put it this way, you probably won't need to, but sooner or later you'll probably want to. I'd get the stock, drop the action in (if the stock is a "drop in" replacement) and see how it shoots and go from there. I have no experience with Choate stocks, so I can't comment on their "out of the box" fit or function. | |||
