Remington 700 heavy barrel stock replacement

I am new to the target and varmint shooting. I just got a Rem 700 243 heavy barrell. Im looking at a Choate Varmint Stock to replace the original stock. will I need to get the new stock Glass Bedded

Put it this way, you probably won't need to, but sooner or later you'll probably want to. I'd get the stock, drop the action in (if the stock is a "drop in" replacement) and see how it shoots and go from there. I have no experience with Choate stocks, so I can't comment on their "out of the box" fit or function.
