Try Howard at the Gunstop in Minneapolis. Howard usually has a dozen M70 pre-64s on hand and is reasonable. Thjese are whole guns but you can pick one that needs a stock to salvage an action. Howard is a good man to deal with.

| My father collects M70's and just picked up a '06 from 1950 I believe that he is trying to sell. It has the absalute worst checkering I have ever seen on a gun let alone pre-64 M70! The action has been re-blued but looks very nice. If you are interested I can ask hi what he wants for it. He is at a gun show this weekend so I don't even know if he still has it, let me know if you want me to check on it. |
