A friend asked me about rebarreling his Remington model 721. I have done a few model 700s. Are there any differences between the two? Are the thread & shank size the same? Recoil lugs? I.e., will a 700 barrel screw on a 721? Thanks in advance,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Bug.

It's the little things that matter.

The only difference in them is the bottom metal, the trigger and the bolt handle. The extractors are different but, everything else is the same. 700 bottom metal will work without alteration.
