| I never put locktite in the ring screws, OK in the base screws. |

| tks for the help guys. Stone I used weaver rings to mount to a hasting rifled shotgun barrels' cantilever mount so I did not need bases. |

| Those old Weaver rings are ugly, but hell-for-stout. I've never seen any shoot loose, so you should be just fine without any "loc down". |
