Today, customer brought in a T/C Venture, still in the box brand new. Wanted me to mount a scope on it for him. I'd never seen one before so looked it over real close; not a bad rifle. I tried the trigger and was very surprised to find the safety didn't work at all. I could move it back and forth easy enough but it sure didn't prevent the rifle from firing. Pulled the action out of the stock for a look. Trigger is set up somewhat like a Remington 700. What I found was the part of the safety that blocks the sear was installed upside down. I took a photo and spent about 2 minutes pulling it apart and fixing it. I called T/C, and only was able to talk to the operator. Fellow took my name and phone number but no one called me back. Figured I's help spread the work myself.
