How much do you take off the bottom of the M700 ADL mag boxs to make them BDL? Rather be working on a mauser.

The boxes are cheap sheet metal stampings.
Just trash the ADL box and and buy a BDL box.

I don't have one right now but if I remember correctly, the ADL box has notches at the front and the back on the bottom. Grind the box until those are gone, atleast that's what I remember doing.

John there are no notches on the M700 ADL. Thats on a M70 ADL style. That would have been too easy.

I figured it out. Went to ebay & looked at a pic of a BDL box. The bottom of the ADL box is tapered, the BDL is not. Grind the taper away till the sides are parallel. Five minutes on the grinder. Done deal.
